Lew Miesz, President

Lew Miesz is the President of Miesz Mechanical Inc. He founded the company in 2014 after working in the air conditioning industry for over 26 years. During that time he worked himself up to service manager at both of the companies where he was employed. He was responsible for several service technicians who served with him.

 

An industry veteran, Lew holds the highest level of mechanical certifications available.

Experience

Lew has worked in the air conditioning industry for over 30 years as a service technician, service manager, consultant, and now business owner.

 

He was honored to be on the board for the inaugural RACCA apprenticeship program hosted at Pinellas Technical College.

 

He is an expert on topics like Psychrometrics, Refrigeration Theory, Internal Aerodynamics, Mechanical Systems Design, Duct Design and Implementation, Heat Pump Theory and Operation, Humidification, Air Sanitation and Filtration.

Education

Lew attended PVTI (Pinellas Vocational Technical Institute) now known as Pinellas Technical College for Air Conditioning, Refrigeration & Heating Technology and was Vice President of VICA (Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) now known as SkillsUSA.

 

He holds just about every Trane certification offered, including the most recent variable speed compressor, variable speed motor, and VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) training.

 

As an industry veteran, Lew also holds the highest certifications available for Mechanical Contractor.

Silvia Miesz, VP

Silvia is the Vice President of Miesz Mechanical Inc. She is the loving wife of Lew Miesz. They have been married for 28 years, and have been best friends since the day they met. Through it all, God has led them in this new journey of managing their A/C business in Pinellas County, Florida.

Background

Silvia was born and raised in Germany. She grew up with loving, God-fearing parents, who always took the time, amidst their busy schedule, to spend time with each other. They have been her greatest influence. She was competitive in sports and enjoyed soccer, swimming and volleyball.

Since her early years, her parents instilled in her a healthy work ethic and moral character that she is thankful for. Every summer, her family would travel European countries to visit with relatives and friends in Germany, Hungary, Austria and France. Her fondest memories were traveling to Canada and visiting many National Parks while camping.

Soon after, her family moved to Canada, where her parents purchased a small business of their own. At the age of 12, Silvia was taught to help out in the family business. From pumping gas at a Full serve station, to helping customers with their purchases in the store, she learned a great deal about customer skills as well as working together as a family.

Experience

Silvia has worked in several businesses throughout her lifetime, completing various tasks. Working with her Dad in his painting business is one of her fondest memories. Serving in the family business and learning some bookkeeping skills from her Mom has taught her a great deal. Volunteering at her home church and Nursing homes has taught her compassion and patience. She has taught from preschool through middle school to currently homeschooling her own daughters, which has been one of her most rewarding experiences. Prior to starting a family, she worked at her former church as teacher, video director and audio technician. She then explored a more clerical avenue and became the office manager of Star Care, Inc., a very reputable sports and rehabilitation center, until the birth of their first child. Since then she has homeschooled her children, volunteered in the children’s club at her church, and is currently the office manager at Miesz Mechanical Inc. She is honored to assist her husband in the every day affairs of the A/C business, and is here to help serve their customers in any way she can.

Education

Silvia attended and graduated from PTEC with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She also completed the First Aid and CPR prerequisites as part of the course.

1997 Became a certified Scuba Diver with her sweetheart at Bill Jackson’s, FL.

2000 Became a Mom of a beautiful, healthy, little baby girl.

2003 Was blessed with a second, beautiful, healthy baby girl.

2014 Supported Lew in his endeavors to establish his A/C business.

2016 Celebrated their 25^th Wedding Anniversary.

2017 Became Vice President of Miesz Mechanical Inc.

I am amazed at where God has taken us in life. If we are willing and available, God makes us able. Our direction may be totally different than what God has planned for us. He has a plan and a future for all of us, if we continue to seek and trust Him with our lives. We can look back on our lives and see God’s hand guiding us and always being faithful to see us through anything we encountered. We trust Him as we continue this journey of life. God is faithful!
